Thomas Boothe, 83, of the 4100 block of 2nd St., passed away Oct. 4, 2006, in his home. Born in Farmville, Va., he was the son of the late Mark and Georgia Boothe. Thomas was a specialist welder for Naval Airstation Norfolk for more than 35 years. Survivors include the wife of his youth for 58 years, Mary Louise Boothe of Chesapeake; a son, Cary D. Boothe of Chesapeake; a daughter, Tracey R. Rascoe of Norfolk; as well as several brothers, sisters and extended family. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Francis Gay Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1146 Rodger St., South Norfolk. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The interment will be private in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
