Adelaide E. Albrecht of Boyne City, Michigan, formerly of Saginaw Passed away Monday December 23, 2013. Age 96 years. Adelaide E. Distler was born May 20, 1917 to the late John and Edna (Barth) Distler. She married Harold C. Albrecht March 15, 1941. He predeceased her January 24, 2009. Adelaide was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church, its choir, and the Ladies Aid. Surviving are her son Robert (Barbara) Albrecht of Boyne City, two grandchildren; Connie (Mike) Reckowsky of West Lafayette, IN, and Robert J. (Pam) Albrecht, Jr. JD, of Rockford, MI, three great grandchildren; Ryan and Robert Reckowsky, and Logan Albrecht. The family extends a grateful thank you to the staff of the Brook of Boyne City, Rev. Peter Elliott of Christ Lutheran Church, Boyne City, and Hospice of Michigan. Funeral service will take place 11 AM Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Road (S. M-47). Rev. Kathleen Basner will officiate. Entombment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Mausoleum. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 PM-7 PM and on Friday one hour before the service. Memorial offerings are suggested to Kinder Closet Christ Lutheran Church, Boyne City, MI., 49712, or Hospice of Michigan.
