Albrecht, Harold C. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009. Age 93 years. Harold was born April 6, 1915 in Port Sanilac, MI to Fred and Ella (Weichman) Albrecht. He married Adelaide Distler on March 15, 1941. She survives him. Mr. Albrecht was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, it's men's club, the ushers group, the YMCA retired men's club, and the Fordney Club. Harold was a graduate of the U of M School of banking, and was a banker with Second National Bank for 43 years. Surviving beside his wife, he leaves his son Robert (Barbara) Albrecht Boyne City, MI; two grandchildren Connie (Mike) Reckowsky of W. Lafayette, IN, Attorney Robert J. "JD" Albrecht, Jr., and his special friend Pam Clark of Grand Rapids; two great grandchildren Ryan and Robert Reckowsky; a nephew and niece, Donald (Sue) Albrecht of Saginaw, and Beverly (Ed) Jarosz of Lexington, MI; a special sister-in-law, Wanda Albrecht of Lexington, MI. Harold was preceded in death by his brother Donald. The family wishes to thank the staff of Covenant VNA and the James Cartwright Center for their excellent care and understanding, especially caregiver Mary Wilson. Funeral Service will take place 11AM Wednesday, January 28 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home on S. Midland Rd. Rev. Paulette Cummings will officiate with entombment to follow at Roselawn Mausoleum. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM, and one hour before the funeral on Wednesday.
