Gertrude M. Albert, 75, Port Matilda, formerly of Niagra Falls, NY, died on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the Tyrone Hospital in Tyrone. Born October 9, 1929 in Julian RD, Union Township, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bertha (Rowin) Hanscom. She was a 1948 graduate of Port Matilda High School. On March 1, 1948, in Winchester, VA, she married Henry Albert, who preceded her in death on March 3, 1993. Mrs. Albert was a member of Bald Eagle Baptist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Niagara Falls, NY. Surviving are two sons, Steven E. Albert and Wayne H. Albert and his partner Frank Russell, all of Oklahoma City, OK, and a daughter, Crystal Albert of NY; six brothers, Alfred R. Hanscom and his wife Verna of Coatsville, Jerome B. Hanscom and his wife Nellie of Julian, Theodore A. Hanscom, of Julian, Carl R. Hanscom and his wife, Shirley of Tyrone RD, Roy K. Hanscom and his wife Opal of Julian, Louis W. Hanscom and his wife Sara of Julian, and six sisters, Mrs. Donald (Wanita) Dreibelbis of State College, Mrs. Robert (Rosie Ellen) Stamm of Philipsburg, Mrs. Edward (Ethel) Donley of Linden, Sylvia Wellar of Howard, Mrs. Larry (Dorothy L.) Wert, of Julian and Mrs. Phil (Joanne J.) Blazer of Bellefonte, one brother-in-law, Clarence Albert, of Osceola Mills, two grandsons and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Evelyn Hanscom. Funeral on Thursday, September 8, at Bald Eagle Baptist Church, Rev. David Spaugh officiating.
