Alice (Layman) Dixon, 82, of West Chester, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Dixon, with whom she was married for 59 years.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Sara (Light) Layman.
She was employed as a manager in the food service industry for many years throughout the Philadelphia area. She and her husband retired to the West Chester area in 1992.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Surviving is a son, Daniel and his wife, Kerry; three grandchildren, Ryan and his wife Kathy, Colin and his wife Kathleen and Shannon, along with three great-grandchildren, Liam, Nathan and Cain. Also surviving is her aunt, Mollie Light, of Philadelphia.
She was predeceased by her brother, Morris Layman and her sister, Rose Penn.
Visitation with the family will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23rd, at the Founds Funeral Home, Inc., 229 South High Street, West Chester, 610-696-0134.
Interment will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
