Mrs FC Long, wife of Charles Long, died at San Antonio on Monday, 31 January 1898 of tuberculosis of the bowels and stomach which had lasted two years. Her brother took her to his home in San Antonio.
Her body came to Crockett by train on Tuesday night and the funeral was Wednesday morning in the Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.
