The Cornelius and Ellender Hyde Hooker family all seem to have settled and raised their families in Polk County, and most are in all the Polk Census records living in and around Sand Mountain Road in Ocoee.
Apparently the only two Hookers buried on the old homeplace are Cornelius and Ellender, and an Dunn infant, child of Mr. and Mrs. Benny Dunn, buried in an unmarked grave. Their children are in Boanerges, Liberty and other local cemeteries.
Note: Thanks to Doug Wilson for sharing the marker and cemetery pictures.
