Dr. George Pollock Wiseman
1888 - 1967

George was the son of Jesse and Annie Pollock Wiseman. On 2 February 1909 he arrived in the United States on the S.S. Haverford from England. He married Ada Watson Wiseman on 26 Sept 1910 [October 26, 1911] in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, they had 6 children. Together they enjoyed singing duets at weddings, funerals, and many other social events. He became a doctor and practiced medicine in Provo, Utah for 30 years, after retirement they moved to Castro Valley, California due to his ill health.

OBITUARY:
Funeral services were Friday [24 November 1967] in the Castro Valley Ward Chapel for George P. Wiseman, 79, 2513 Leesley Ave. Castro Valley. He died here Nov. 21, 1967.

Born [in] Oldham [Shaw, by most records], Lancashire, England. High Priest, Castro Valley 2nd Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors: widow, [Ada Watson Wiseman] Castro Valley; sons and daughters: Leroy, Riverside, Calif.; Harold, Castro Valley, Calif.; Mrs. Dorothy Boshard, Carmichael, Calif.; Irvin, Reading[Redding], Calif.; Mrs. Irene Duckett, Provo, Utah; David, San Mateo, Calif.; 29 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters, Mrs. Emma Harwood, Florence Wiseman, both of Logan, Utah; Arthur, Los Angeles, Calif.; Joseph, Salt Lake City, Utah.
