A War of 1812 fort established by the1st Illinois Territorial Governor Ninian Edwards. The fort was abandoned in 1815, and burned in 1837. Nothing remains. The site of the fort was reported to be about one mile NW of Edwardsville on Springfield Drive just west of IL 159 (Sec 34, TWP 5-8)
