Add PhotosThe parish of St. Bernhardin acquired 4 burial grounds outside of the former Kirchhof [church yard] established in the 15th century on Kirchstraße [ul. Bernardyńska] in Breslau [Wrocław].
- Friedhof St. Bernhardin [I], Neuscheitniger Friedhof - Kirchhof Gasse [plac Grunwaldski]
- Friedhof St. Bernhardin [II] - Grosse Feld Straße [ul. Zygmunta Krasińskiego]
- Alter Friedhof St. Bernhardin [III] – Ofenerstraße [ul. Krakowska], Roth-Kretscham
- Neuer Friedhof St. Bernhardin [IV] - St. Bernhardin Straße [ul. Biskupa Bernarda Bogedaina], Roth-Kretscham
St. Bernhardin [II] Friedhof was founded in 1777 and was active until 1868. It lay north and adjacent to St. Christophori Friedhof, being one of the three Protestant cemeteries (St. Bernhardin, St. Christophori & St. Salvator) and one Catholic cemetery (St. Dorothea) in the precinct known as the Glacisfriedhöfe. It was located just east of the Breslau city moat, Der Stadtgraben [Fosa Miejska] and was bound by the streets of Grosse Feld Straße [ul. Zygmunta Krasińskiego] and Am Ohlauer Stadtgraben [ul. Podwale].
From 1888 until 1918, the old cemeteries were gradually liquidated and the land was transformed into a public park square known today as Skwer Zygmunta Krasińskiego with St. Bernhardin Friedhof now occupied by a playground [Plac Zabaw].
The parish of St. Bernhardin acquired new land in 1853 for subsequent burials at the Alter [Old] St. Bernhardin [III] Friedhof, now occupied by the Park na Wilczym Kącie. In 1892 more land was acquired across the railway for the Neuer [New] St. Bernhardin [IV] Friedhof at Roth-Kretscham [Tarnogaj] now occupied by the Park Tarnogajski.
