The Brabazon Altar was erected by Anthony Brabazon and his wife Catherine in April 1756 in the Mass Chapel of 1704. The Altar was later transferred to the 1824 chapel until its closure in 1914.
The inscription on the Altar read – Pray for M. Anthony and Mrs. Catho Brabazon who caused this Altar to be erected April the 2d 1756.
Two chalices survived from this era are currently housed in the Clonfert Diocesan Museum on the grounds of St Brendan's Cathedral, Loughrea, Co. Galway.
One chalice bears the inscription "Pray for the Souls of Nicholas & Jane Skirrett who gave this Gift to the parish of CREAGH Octr. 10th 1800". The other chalice is The Edmund Flanagan (Creagh) Chalice of 1731 and bears the inscription "Pray for Edmd Flannagan who got me made for ye perpetual Use of ye two parishes abut Ballinasloe & for ye Soule of far Domk Burk his beloved Companion 1731". (Info & photos from the books "The Parish of Ballinasloe by Rev P K Egan" 1959 and A Moment's Memory by Declan Kelly 2014).
In 2000 Creagh Community Council under the guidance of the late Tom Ward, Kilgarve, undertook a restoration project. The graveyard had become overgrown and inaccessible during the previous decades. Many volunteers worked tirelessly to bring the area back to what it should be. Again in 2014 Creagh Community Council under the direction of John Molloy undertook another restoration project covering the five cemeteries within the confines of "Creagh Cemetery".
