R.J. Foster Grave
Ozone, Johnson County, Arkansas, USA
In the mid to late 70s my brother-in-law and I were squirrel hunting in this area and came across a solitary tombstone on top of this knoll. When we read the epitaph we thought it read "R.J. Foster, Born 8/1/1850, Died 10-6-1883 Killed by the Chill of Ice" and we thought it was very lonesome on a knoll by himself all those years. Later in the early 80s my brother taking a photo class in college went to get a picture of the lonsome grave it was then that we discovered it was not "Chill of Ice", but was actually "Fall of a Tree." This is rough terrain, but the cache is easy. I figured anybody that will get to R.J. Foster's grave shouldn't have to hunt to hard for the cache. To get there follow Hwy 21 to Ozone turn west on Low gap Road, go past Apple Road (1st major road going south)about 1/2 mile and turn north about 1 mile down north and west. This approach is from the north, the easiest. To approach from the south follow Low Gap past Apple Road about two miles. From the South is is about a mile and half hike.
