by: Rundlette Kensell Palmer, 1979.
On page 312 it is described as follows:
"On Route 126 in North Pittston, going west from the Pinkham Road, at the third house on the right, in this year of 1979, sits a plot directly west of the house by about 100 yards and at the edge of the field by a stone wall and surrounded by fairly large Hackmatacks.
This plot is about 40 feet long and 15 feet wide and contains indentations of approximately 15 graves with the head and footstone of fieldstones.
However, we did discover a small marble headstone under the leaves and pine needles which reads:
Mr. Moses King died August 10, 1803 age 39
Mrs. Mary Brainard former wife of Moses King died July -- ---- Age 77
This was a double headstone with the lower right corner broken off and non-locatable.
Apparently, the other graves are some of their children, relatives, etc.
This plot agrees with the land plot map of Pittston by Moses Bliss of 1836 and also of the later residential map of 1879.
This plot, at one time, had a wooden fence around it as evidenced by the one post remaining and iron pegs in field stones where the other post used to be.
This information came from the present occupants of the farm there and is quite correct.
This cemetery is in deplorable condition in the year of 1979."
