St. George's Hanover Square Mount Street Burial Ground

St. George's Church was opened in the new residential development of Hanover Square with no attached churchyard. Its first burial ground was sited beside its workhouse at Mount Street. When this filled up a larger burial ground was consecrated at Bayswater in 1765. They were closed for burials in 1854, when London's city churchyards were closed to protect public health.
Please make memorials here only for burials listed in the ST GEORGE, HANOVER SQUARE, parish registers from 1 Apr 1725 through 1765. This burial ground was removed long ago, so there's nothing to photograph. Later burials from the registers should be memorialized in the appropriate FindAGrave cemetery listings.

This Mount Street parish burial ground was the first of three for StGHS.
