1638, John Montgomerie of Cockilbie died, leaving a wife, Jeanne Forrester and children John, Agnes, Barabara, Margaret, and Catherine. He may have held Broadstone Castle near Beith and held lands in Ireland.
Moffatt-Strong-McDill Cemetery Chester, Chester County, South Carolina Cemetery ID 235770 is believed to be the original cemetery for Fairview Presbyterian Church founded in 1772 that relocated to Fairview (Now Fountain Inn), Greenville Co., South Carolina Cemetery ID 69976 in 1786 named after the church in Ireland.
