Photos

The first mention of a church in Prochowice (formerly Parchwitz) occurred in 1217, which describes a wooden structure. A new brick church was constructed in 1426 on the initiative of the village's owner, Otto von Zedlitz. Following the Reformation, the church building was taken over the Protestant Church. The church was renovated in 1737 and 1864. Following WWII, the building ceased to function as a church and was used as a warehouse. The property was eventually returned to the Catholic Church, but it is currently abandoned. The church contains several historic epitaphs and gravestones, including several of the von Zedlitz family.
