The first church in Studnica (formerly Steudnitz) was mentioned in 1305. The present church was completed in 1817 after a serious fire destroyed most of the old building, leaving only the belfry and some funerary chapels from the 17th century. These chapels contain some unique polychromed effigies and stone sarcophagi. Few headstones remain in the graveyard surrounding the church, which was probably cleared after WWII and is no longer active.
