Located at 20 Brookdale Road in Stamford, the church, which offers a unique worship space in the round, was built in 1965 as Trinity Episcopal Church. In 2005 it merged with Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Stamford to become Trinity- Emmanuel Episcopal Church before taking the name of Christ the Healer. Over time, the number of people attending the church declined, leading to a decision to dissolve as a parish and close on July 31, 2018.

There is a plaque listing all those whose ashes are buried in the columbarium. It reads, in part:
Trinity Episcopal Church
"In loving memory of those whose ashes are interred here".
