Built in 1901 and opened as Rossport Church in 1902, this wooden structure remains virtually unaltered today. Travelling ministers from an array of denominational groups have conducted services here.

In recognition of this tradition, church members officially renamed it "Rossport Union Church" in 1936. It is one of the few remaining unaffiliated Protestant churches left in Canada and Rossport's first designated historical site.
