Reubin Sugg Cemetery
Ayden, Pitt County, North Carolina, USA
A Findagrave contributor emailed today advising the cemetery location currently pinpointed is NOT the Reubin Sugg Cemetery, it is the Cannon/Stokes Cemetery, he drove to further east portion of Emma Cannon where it intersects with Stokestown Saint John and did not see a cemetery. He did inquire with a local resident in that area and they put him in touch with someone that might possibly know. It's believed the description given in this cemetery survey by William Kittrell is not accurate. Stay posted and hopefully it is located in its correct location.

The Cemetery is stated to be on Emma Cannon Road (SR1724), on the east side and one-tenth of a mile north of Highway 102 and 500 yards in. Emma Cannon Road only intersects with hwy 102 just east of Ayden Golf Club Road, it does run for quite a distance and comes close to hwy 102 again further east but stops just south of 102 where it intersects with Stokestown Saint John Road.
Using website Mapper.acme.com and the topo, there is a cemetery off Emma Cannon Road just north of 102 but it is on the west side of 102, there is a wide-open field and then the first house on left side of 102 is where there is a small cemetery sitting directly behind this home.If you take the first street on left, Wood Duck Road and follow it around to where it ends at a culdesac, the cemetery appears to be accessible.
