Built in the colonial times, it was located on the eastern bank of the Maurice River one-quarter mile north of the Spring Garden Road Ferry, about one-and-a-half miles above the village of Port Eizabeth. Records can be found at the central Moravian Church in Bethlehem, PA.
Early members were: Samuel & Catherine Cabb, Paul Camp, Nichoas Hopman & wife, John Hopman & wife, Peter Hopman & wife, Frederick Hopman & wife, Joseph Jones, Abraham Jones & wife,Eric Kyn & wife,Peter Lommis, Peter Masslander, Margaret Justis (a widow), Stephen Mullicas & wife, Eric Mullicas & wife, Lucas Peterson, Aaron Peterson, Lars Peterson & wife, Thomas Peterson, Gabriel Powell, John Purple, Shiloh and Indian, Samuel Van Immen & wife, David Van Immen, Peter Van Immen and Gabriel Van Immen.
The church is also known as the Moravian Swedish Lutheran Church and shared pastors from the Swedish Lutheran Churches in Raccoon and Penns Neck . The buiding has long since disappeared. It is reported that at low tide some stones appear in the river bank that are believed to be headstones or part of the foundation of the church.
