Reverend Hobbs was missionary among the Choctaw Indians for fifteen years. He was much loved by them all. He was also a doctor. There is somewhere close to thirty unmarked graves, which are all in very bad shape. They have all caved in and some have been dug into by treasure hunters. These were never covered back up. The cemetery lies two and one-half miles northeast of Whitesboro on the old Arkansas to Stringtown stage coach road.It is about one mile from the Indian village called Old Lenox.
