The land this cemetery is located on was owned by Simon Kenton. He deeded 100 acres to his brother-in-law, Willoughby Griffith, on 20 August, 1800 for the sum of 100 pounds. (Fleming County Deed Book; page 422 at the Historical Museum at Haysville, Kentucky.) The abandoned graveyard is now located on the Ronald Reeder farm on Kendall Lane. Only three gravestones survived the ravages of time and once could be found along side a fence. The three stones are for: Amelia Griffith: b. April 4, 1807; d. Aug. 8, 1880;
Nancy, wife of G.S. Jones: b. April 20, 1813; d. Jan. 2, 1892 and Geo. S. Jones: b. Feb. 3, 1804; d. March 30, 1884. The cemetery is not accessible, but on private property.
