Lassintullich Graveyard is located approximately 3 miles (5 Km) SE of Kinloch Rannoch. It stands on a mound known as Tom an t Seipel, (Chapel Hill), beside Lassintullich House, overlooking Dunalastair Water. At one time, it lay within the bounds of Fortingall Parish District.
St Blane's Chapel is at the North side of the walled enclosure. St Blane was the first missionary to visit the Rannoch area. He died AD 590. His original chapel was consecrated with sacred dust from Iona. The existing Chapel ruins are of a later date. They measure approx. 26' x 15', a low rectangular plan, oriented E-W, with slit windows and a door in the South wall. There is one gravestone located within the ruin walls.
The outlines of the graveyard suggest it is very ancient, but the present walls are not necessarily very old. There is a font located within the NW corner of the graveyard walls. In the SW corner of the graveyard stands a cross slab dating from the 9th - 10thC. It bears in relief a latin cross with round hollow angles.
Traditionally, this was the burial ground of the MacDonalds of the area and the Stewarts of nearby Innerhadden.
Care is required walking in the graveyard. There are many stones buried and hidden in the overgrown grass.
