Penn Furnace, on the Blue Ball Rd. He started in life a poor man, but by industry and economy had his whole farm paid for at the time of his death. Patrick married Mary Schnabel who died 5 weeks after her husband, being about the same age. Children included: John died unmarried; Mary married Edward Hartranft, a lumber merchant of KS; William S.; Deborah married David Maurer, a shoemaker at Yocom's Church; Patrick married Elizabeth Miller and had his home with his son Patrick and was buried at Sinking Spring Cemetery."
