"[Copied May 9, 1939. Location--On old Berry farm 2 miles North of Trenton--1/4 mi. East of Trenton and Keely Mill Road which intersects Poplar Grove Road at Callis & Barron's Store. Established in 1837 by John S. Berry. Discontinued--1898. No. of graves--100 or more, 11 tombstones found. Appr. 1 acre. Remarks: John S. Berry is the Grandfather of C. C. Berry, Trustee of Gibson County at this time.] December 8, 1979."
The following footnote information by Emily B. Walker accompanies the above description:
"Eric R. Battle compiled his work in the late 1930s. In some of these cemeteries he found more stones intact and legible than we who followed some 40 years later were able to locate. In these instances only the information from the stones we were not able to find was used from Mr. Battle's notes." (CEMETERY RECORDS . . . page v.)
At the present time--2016--it is noted that this old, neglected cemetery is located on private property between Trenton and Dyer, Gibson County, Tennessee, on Green Valley Road.
