This is a Church of Scotland Parish Church serving the villages of Dalmally, Argyll, and Bute. It is the church of the parish Glenorchy and Inishail. Documents state a church was at this site as early as 1390. The Second Chief of Clan Gregor was reportedly buried on the north side of the High Altar in Dysart, at the old church. The present church, which is the third on this site, was built in 1811 by architect James Elliott. The octagonal-shaped Gothic church with its square tower and pointed stained-glass windows sets in a peaceful graveyard on top of a knoll. Grave markers dating to the 14th and 15th century can be found in the graveyard. The graveyard was the burying place of the Clan MacGregors, and has markers that are embellished with figures of armed warriors and emblematical devices that are said to have been brought from Inisha. About 1980 extensive repairs were done to the church such as repair the stairwell in the tower and support the gallery in the main body of the church. When part of the floor was removed during this project, a scatter of human bones were found. There were presumed to have been disturbed during the original construction of the church in 1811. Burials within the church were forbidden after 1572 and those in the church were put to rest in the yard. Besides the MacGregors, there is a MacNab stone, a walled Campbell enclosure and an area said to be for children's burials. As in any old cemetery, some of the markers are worn and difficult to read. This cemetery is still active.
