Robert Trammell of Oglethorpe Co., Ga was the Grantee of LL #37
Joel M. Chivers of Troup Co., Ga was the Grantee of LL #38
LL #38 was bordered on the West by Chambers Co., Alabama. It was on the west bank of the Chatahoochee River, about 9 miles north of West Point, Ga.
The remains of Elizabeth (Pearson) Chivers (1769-1845) and her son, Henry Thomas Chivers (1806-1839), were removed and reinterred at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery when the Army Corp of Engineers relocated many of the cemeteries of Chambers Co., Ala and Troup Co., Ga prior to the completion of West Point Dam.
Joel M. Chivers (1809-1885) was a younger brother of Henry Thomas Chivers.
The site of the Joel M. Chivers Family Plantation and Cemetery is now under the water of West Point Lake, as the area was flooded following the completion of West Point Dam on the Chatahoochee River above the town of West Point in 1974.
