The Society of Friends (Quakers) established their meeting house about 1696 on Liberty Street. The attached burial ground, which served Manhattan's first Quaker congregation, was situated behind the meeting house and stretched east to Little Green Street (present-day Liberty Place).

▫ Disposition: Destroyed.

Note: The remains were first removed to a collective vault at the Houston Street Burial Ground in 1825, and, when that cemetery was also closed, to Prospect Park in Brooklyn in 1849.
