23 burials.
The letters on the memorial cairn are not "crisp" and, even in the best of light conditions, getting a good clear photograph is virtually impossible. Each grave is marked by a pristine white cross without identification and, as such, a photo of one of these crosses has been added to each memorial.
Predominately German speaking settlers from this area are buried there.
The granite headstone is a summary of all those buried there. Only a few of the original glasswork headstones remain.
There was a school but it has long since ceased operations.
The County of Forty Mile provides maintenance in most cemeteries within the County with the exception of the Village of Foremost, Town of Bow Island, Burdett Cemetery and all Hutterite Cemeteries. Maintenance is performed on 28 Cemeteries across the County and consists of mowing grass twice a season, trimming or planting of trees and maintaining appearance of fences and signs.
