The Church of St. Nicolai is the youngest and smallest of the three main churches in the town of Lüneburg. The church dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Myra is a three-aisled Basilica. It was built from 1407 to 1440 in the brick Gothic style like other churches by Hanseatic cities in the Baltic Sea region. Since the introduction of the reformation in Lüneburg, 1530, Protestant church services are held in the Church.
