New Bell Cemetery
Watonga, Blaine County, Oklahoma, USA
We are not sure if this is the right name for the cemetery. The New Bell School house was one mile north but has been gone for years. The cemetery is no longer used but is being partially cared for. There is one family plot that has a nice chain link fence and gate, within the fence are 5 nice stones. The rest of the cemetery is in bad condition, it is overgrown with trees, vine and briars. A vining rose had just about taken over and the iris were trying to com through it all. Some of the trees have large clumps of thorns that reminds one of the "Crown of Thorns."
There is evidence of several graves but no markers. We found 3 field stones with no identification. We were told that at one time there were about 75 graves.
