The members of the church purchased a parcel of land on the NW-11-37-25(-W1) in Grahamville, in the Minitonas Municipality, on October 6, 1944. At the time of purchase, Andrew Nichiporuk, Dan Pacamaniuk, and Mark Michylow were the trustees. In August 1946, Lawrence Nichiporuk was the first one to be buried at this site, and thus, started the cemetery there. It wasn't until 1950 that the church, St. Lawrentius Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church, was completed.

Troheem Fidoritz, Steve Semenovich, and Harry Lapsiuk did most of the buiIding and finishing touches.
