Add PhotosMendicant friary of the Dominican Order (Black Friars), dedicated to St Andrew, founded in the 1231 by Alexander II at Perth. King James VI of Scotland granted all the property of the church to the burgh of Perth on August 9, 1569, nine years after the Reformation Parliament of 1560.
The site is variously given as at the corner of the present Kinnoul Street and Carpenter Street, the east or south east side of Atholl Crescent, on the site of the Middle Free Church, adjoining the North Port, and the Blackfriars Wynd.
