The Harris Family Cemetery is located on a high bluff overlooking the Potomac River Valley near their former home known as "Mt. Tirzah". The home is believed to have been built by Colonel Thomas Harris, III, just before the American Revolution. Among his children were Gwinn Harris; Dr. Morgan Harris; builder of nearby "Waverly"; Thomas Harris IV; and Joseph Harris.
