The oldest burial date in the Withers Cemetery is 1841. This location is near the northern boundary of the original 1782 land grant to John Reed of Reed's Station. The original Withers home stood in front of the Briarpatch Restaurant, just about where the US 150 Bypass is located. The homestead's old barn, lying south of the bypass, was razed in 1989. The Withers farm, 1876 map, was reached via a land off Gose Pike, at a point near the present-day northwest corner of junction of US 150 Bypass and Gose Pike. The old spring house, in ruins, lies 200 feet northeast of the cemetery, which is only 20 feet from the back of the restaurant. Nine readable stones plus fifty unmarked graves.
Location and records for this cemetery are found in the book Boyle County, Kentucky, Cemetery Records, 1792-1992, compiled by the Boyle County Genealogical Association, 1992, revised and enlarged 2008
