Records of this cemetery appear in death certificates for those showing internments here. I have also found this cemetery name when searching online and it was mentioned in by name in history of the Purser family with some of that family also buried here.

One site found was a PDF file that was written by Dick Purser for the descendants of Robert Purser and the following line was written "I visited this cemetery in May 2002 and recorded pictures of the stones. It appears to be a Roach family cemetery". Unfortunately there was no contact information for this person and I can only rely on his word. The document he wrote was quite lengthy regarding this family and Roach Cemetery is made mention on numerous occasions.

A HUGE THANKS to John Hartge #47172774 for his contribution in locating and photographing headstones at this cemetery. He has made this a reality and I cannot thank him enough. In latest email John did tell me that in the Craven County Cemetery Books this is where information was located along with location of cemetery. Page 49 Roach Cemetery - Craven County, Township 1. Located 5-1/2 miles North of Vanceboro on SR 1477, west of Hwy 43, visible from 43.

A copy of deed for property John sent me shows that name of this Cemetery is also referred to as Moore Family Cemetery. There is a cemetery by that name on FaG but it only has one internment. Not sure if both are one and the same.
