This abandoned cemetery is in Vienna Township, and is located near the center of the S.W. 1/4 of the N.W. Quarter of Section 30 T. 3 N., R. 7 E. It is approximately 1/4 mile northeast of the filter plant of the Scottsburg Water Works. This track(sic) was entered 1/12/1821 by James Hughbanks and adjoins on the east. The forty acre track(sic)was entered on 10/2/1835 by Hiram Boswell. Copied from the 1978 Cemetery Book.
In 1845 there was a Methodist Church here which was known as the Honey Run Methodist Church and was named for the small creek, Honey Run. It ran past the church and the grave yard on the west.
The cemetery is maintained by the Scott County Cemetery Commission.
