This is a stone-marked cemetery which was used for burial of the McDowell family slaves and the McElrath family slaves. There are 50 or move graves, neatly marked in rows with head and footstones. Burials probably continued here up until the 1870's when nearby McElrath African American church was established. At present, names of individuals who lie in these graves are not known.
