UPDATE - March 2014: The Madison County Genealogical & Historical Society placed a small tombstone at the location of the six graves mentioned above. Hopefully this tombstone will help to preserve this area and the graves. See picture posted here. Since this tombstone was place we have discovered that Francis Marion & Louisa JOHNSON Lollar ARE NOT buried here; they are buried in Nowata Cemetery at Nowata, Oklahoma. However the data shows that there are in fact "two Lollar graves here - but their first names still remain unknown". We are not sure now if Mr. & Mrs. Dan Boatright are buried here... but there are two "Boatright" graves at this location.
To find these graves:
From Wesley, go two miles east on Highway 74; turn south on Highway 303 and go 5.2 miles. (The pavement will end on Highway 303, which turns into County Road 5205) Turn right on County Road 5190, and you will need to park immediately. The graves are located on the right side of County Road 5190, just about 150 feet from the intersection of 5205 and 5190. They are located in the strip of trees, and the fieldstones marking the graves are small ones and some have been knocked over. Look for an area that has a ground cover vine, and also look for some flowers called "flags".
