The Burnt Mill Plantation Cemetery has long been forgotten and is in need of a face lift. This cemetery is surrounded by a five foot red brick wall which is about 40 feet long and 20 feet wide in diameter. One side of this wall is missing and is the only way to gain access into the cemetery.
The grave of Mary Ann Geiger Loirck, her brother Jacob Geiger, and their parents, William Jacob & Margaret Kersh Geiger, Sr. has been uprooted by large trees that has fallen over the years. Also, large Wisteria Vines are growing over these three graves and interlocking around all the grave stones.
The grave of Dr. Franklin Geiger and his brother Henry Geiger are still standing and much easier to access to view.

Note: Preston Campbell Lorick (1843-1922) (FAG #73085576) looked after the grave of his mother, Mary Ann Geiger Lorick and the graves of his grandparents, William Jacob & Margaret Kersh Geiger, Sr. in his life time, and had a brick wall built around the graves at The Burnt Mill Plantation Cemetery between about 1885-1910.
