The graves of Jack and Virginia 'Jenny' ELAM Watkins, who died in 1883 & 1893, were the only old graves here and were marked only by fieldstones. In about 1978 Watkins family members placed a double tombstone on their graves.
James Waddill purchased the property in 1964, and in 1982 the 1/4 acre area was officially registered as the "Waddill Family Cemetery on Delaney Creek". Since that time, James Waddill's father and sister have been buried here.
Marvin Hollingsworth had lived in the area all of his life and he wanted to be buried here, and he and his wife were both buried here in 1993 and 1994.
To find this cemetery: At Delaney, Arkansas, turn South on Madison County Road #4115; there will be a fork in the road; stay to the right and go a total of 3.3 miles on #4115. When you've gone 2.75 miles you will see a stop sign beside the road, which says "private property". However the road goes on and you must keep going to find the cemetery. You will pass a nice house on the right. The road goes around the garage on the left and after another 1/4 mile you will see two natural stone "gatehouses" which are about 10 feet tall, and the road goes between them. The cemetery is on the left just pass the gatehouses.
