This cemetery was located at Lewis and Avon Streets, City of Flint, Section 8 The buried remains were removed and re-intered in AVONDALE CEMETERY,nearby in Section 8, City of Flint, by the City of Flint, to make room for re-alignment of the streets and allow the construction of a downtown motel. Old Flint City

Cemetery was located on Lewis Street, now named Chavez Drive.

Additional information: In the 1950's, the bodies from this cemetery were disinterred and SOME were moved to Avondale Cemetery. They are buried in a common section on the west side of the cemetery, the stones surrounding the graves in a "U" shape.
