Located in the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4, Section 29, Township 16 North, Range 27 West
This is a small family cemetery located approximately 1/2 mile (as the crow flies) northwest of Drakes Creek on what was known as the old George Ledbetter place. It is located on private property in the middle of a cow pasture and you would need a guide in order to find it. There are three newer tombstones and numerous (at least a dozen) fieldstone marked graves. These graves are located underneath three large trees in a pasture where cows roam among the graves. You could be standing within a few feet of the cemetery and not realize that the graves were there.
Directions: From Huntsville go west on State Highway #74 for 7 1/2 miles; turn right on County Road #7565, which goes up a long steep hill. Go 1.5 miles and you will see a two-storied house with a blue metal roof on the right side of the road. Directly across from this house on the left is a farm road. The graves are located about 3/4 of a mile down this road. There are locked gates and you should obtain permission and directions from the landowner before trying to find these graves.
