The Southwell and Nottingham Church History Project indicates that the south-western side of Saint Peter's churchyard is a merge of the portion consisting of Vicarage Lane and Shaw Street Cemetery. ================================

The Shaw Street cemetery was opened in 1882 and placed under the control of Basford Burial Board. Located at the end of Shaw Street and is now only accessible from Vicarage Lane Cemetery,it is owned and managed by Rushcliffe Borough Council.
Vicarage Lane Cemetery and Shaw Street Cemetery are next to each other and not fenced off; Shaw Street Cemetery is the responsibility of Rushcliffe Borough Council (who hold the records)
Vicarage Lane Cemetery is the responsibility of the Parish Council.
