Located just off Rt 174 on Bucher Road, about 75 feet off 174 on the right side of the road
The Ege family burial plot at in Boiling Springs
1. (First burial) "In memory of Catharine Ege. Mother of George and Michael Ege, who departed this life November 6th, 1886. In the 76th year of her Age. Stop Passenger and weep! But not for Me: Lament thy own Misery As I am now, so must thou be, Therefore, prepare and follow Me "
Note: Anna Catherine Holz ( Wood ), the wife of George-Michael Ege. and the sister of Elizabeth Holz Wood', the wife of Henry William Stiegel. In addition to the two sons (George and Michael). Anna Cathanne and George-Michael Ege were also the parents of the following children
Birth Dates
1. Jacob Ege — born January ll. 1745 — 'date of death not known
II. Maria Barbara Ege — born July 21. 1746 — died in infancy.
III. Anna Catarina Ege — born October 20. 1749 — died in infancy.
IV. Jahannes Ege — born April J4, 1757 — died December 4, 1758.
2. Children of Peter Ege 1776- 1847,
Geoige Ege 1780-1858. Michael Ege. III. 1783-1827."

Note: The above children who died in infancy, were the issue of George Micheal and Anna Catharine( Holz) Ege

STONE WALL ENCLOSURE
This old burial ground was and is enclosed by a stone wall and in the early days the entrance was through a solid iron door way, forged at the furnace of Micael Ege II. Like the majority of old graveyards thus one. With the passing of the years, became the prey of time and vandals. Many of the old tombstones were carried away including that of Michael Ege II In 1911, however, the descendants of Michael and George Ege raised the necessary funds to rebuild the stone fence and reset the remaining tomb-stones
The plot is now in a fairly good .state of repair.
