Add PhotosGo north on Forbes Street (Route #627).
Turn RIGHT on Morton Road (Route #624).
Go 1.3 miles down Morton Road.
Turn LEFT on Leeland Road (Route #626).
At the fork (Potomac Run Road), bear to the right to stay on Leeland Road. The route number may now be #625.
Keep going for approximately 1.5 miles to "Daffan's crossing" on the RF&P Railroad.
(Note: I never saw anything with the words "Daffan's Crossing" on it).
At the end of the road, there is a dirt path that leads up to the RR tracks. (We saw a path on the right BEFORE the road ended, but weren't sure it was the correct one).
Once at the tracks, walk south on a dirt road that parallels the railroad tracks for about 0.8 miles.
The cemetery is on the west (right) side of the road on top of a very steep hill about 100 feet in the woods.
All of the graves there face East. There are several unmarked graves there.
Note: These directions were gleaned from those published by Homer Musselman. My husband and I tried to find this cemetery several years ago. We made it to the end of Leeland Road and looked up and saw the RR tracks, but couldn't figure out where to go to reach the tracks, so we gave up. A local researcher kindly found the cemetery for us later, and mailed us some pictures, so there is a way up there!
William Pierce Daffan was my husband's 3rd great grandfather.
