Add PhotosCaptain Peter Millington of Vermont, and a Revolutionary War veteran, died in Sangamon County at age of 102 shortly after his arrival here in 1839. Research done by Dr. Floyd Barringer in 1970 shows Captain Millington was most likely buried here. Cemetery is extinct with burials dating from 1839 through 1843 and an accurate location of the cemetery is unknown.
