Faith Baptist Church was organized on August 1, 1898 in a meeting under an opened air arbor near the current church location. The first pastor was Elder J. N. Stallings. In 1901, on land provide by Mr. C. C. Wyatt located on North Main Street, a frame building was erected. A brick building with stone trim was built in 1932 directly across the street from the original building. In 1963, an educational building was added. In 1982, the entire church facility was renovated. The Church Cemetery is located on Gardener St, a few blocks from the Church.
