Clarke County, Iowa Cemeteries Volume 2 The Rural Cemeteries - published 1997 -says this cemetery was listed by WPA as having one grave[Lafoon Hardin Exley 1854-1938] and says the location of the cemetery is unknown, except that it was in Franklin Township.

I have since found this man in the Last Chance Cemetery, Lucas Co, IA which is near the Clarke county border.

Was this a mistake on WPA records ? or was Lost Chord also used as name for Last Chance? I have found old obits that listed a burial in Last Chance, Clarke county.

Because this information is found in the cemetery book, I am going to leave it on findagrave in case anyone else is searching for this cemetery.
